Merlewood Hotel - Saundersfoot

I chose to stay here for a quick getaway and was pleasantly surprised by how nice the environment was. Enjoying breakfast was a highlight, with plenty of options like cooked meals and fresh fruit available. The location made it very easy to take a short walk to the beach and nearby attractions such as the Saundersfoot Harbour. I did notice the room could use some updates, as it felt a bit dated and lacked some homey touches.

The location was great for traveling around Saundersfoot, really close to the town centre, and a beautiful area of Saundersfoot. Booked a room with fabulous views over Saundersfoot village and beach.

It's a low-budget hotel with cosy rooms. A peaceful location, I would return here.

The outdoor pool and surrounding area were quite appealing. The sea view from the room was pretty fantastic, offering a lovely ambiance.

There were a few issues that marred the experience-a dated bathroom with tiles falling off, and what was like dampness in the room made things uncomfortable. The pillows were old and flat, and I had to request replacements because of stains on the originals. The location at the top of a steep hill could pose difficulties for anyone with mobility issues, and the TV was disappointingly small with a poor signal.

Views from the room offered a fine panorama over the bay, complemented by a friendly and cute reception. The breakfast was particularly enjoyable, with well-cooked homemade options and a cheerful staff that added to the experience. The smallness of the TV detracted somewhat from the overall comfort, and the curtains failed to block out outside light effectively, which may disturb sleep. The location poses a challenge with its steep hill ascent after long walks in the area.

The staff were kind and supportive, helping me feel at home. Breakfast included delicious options, and the overall atmosphere was warm and inviting.

Enjoyed our stay near the outdoor pool, with lovely beach access. So easy to stroll down to restaurants and grab a pint at a spacious pub. Clean room with fine views of the coast!

I stayed in a Twin Room for 2 nights, and it was comfy overall. The room was clean, had tea and coffee facilities, and the shower was fantastic-hot and powerful! The view from the room was fine, especially overlooking the pool and beach. The only downside was that the TV felt a bit small for the space. But honestly, I enjoyed my stay a lot!

Strong match for short visits in Saundersfoot with very nice value for money. The large bar staying open late was a bonus. Consider exploring nearby restaurants for meals.

What a good little getaway! The views from the bar terrace over the pool and out to Saundersfoot beach are amazing. The breakfast spread was not only delicious but offered plenty of options. The warm and cute atmosphere makes this place feel like home.

Enjoyable Stay with Fine Views

I had a lovely night in a small double room with amazing views over Saundersfoot beach. The morning breakfast was excellent. A great variety to choose from made it nice. Remember to book a taxi if you're not comfortable with steep walks back from the beach!

The staff here were very welcoming and friendly, the room was modern and comfortable with a nice bed and amenities, and the breakfast was amazing with delicious food.

This place is sparkling clean and has a fantastic location close to the beach, the staff here are incredibly friendly with a great attitude towards guests, and the breakfast is sensational with plenty of delicious food and beverages available.
